Black Music Month

I was asked by Republic records to create a social graphic to assist them in commemorating Black Music Month in June 2022. This piece was initially drawn and colored with pencil and pastel, scanned and enhanced with the *blackpowerbarbie glow* and hand drawn type. When creating this originally I was thinking about capturing serenity and moments of calm and warmth where the Sun hits your face and you soak it all in. When I think about how my favorite Black Music makes me feel, that sunny comfort, grounding and beauty comes to mind.
